Save the Barco Drive-In Theater

It’s summertime. It’s the time of the year when families spend a Friday or Saturday night at our drive-in theater. For some, like my family and friends, going to the drive-in to catch a double feature is a summer tradition. Whether it be for a new movie, or a throwback. Unfortunately, last weekend, after a showing, they experienced some technical difficulties, and their projector went down. The refurbished projector was purchased eight years ago, when they were finally able to raise enough money to replace their old one, with a digital. They need our help.

As most people know, drive-in theater’s are very rare these days. There are not very many left. Our drive-in has been in operation since 1950, and has been a favorite for not only our community, but surrounding areas.

Can we save the Barco? A new projector is $47,000. We understand that right now, times are tough. But even $1 will do. Or if you’re unable to donate, please share.
