Save the Brooklyn Bridge Replica: A Community Legacy

**Help Preserve Our Heritage: Save the Brooklyn Bridge Replica!**

Hello! My name is Brooke Wamsley, and I’m the Vice President of the Friends of the Saxonburg Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving local history and culture. Our mission is to save the beloved Brooklyn Bridge replica, originally built by my grandfather, Ralph Henderson, and the Saxony Shriners for Butler’s bicentennial parade. Since its installation in Roebling Park in 2001, the bridge has become a cherished landmark, but it now faces significant challenges due to water damage and lack of maintenance.

To honor the legacy of the Saxony Six and the Shriners, we aim to relocate the bridge to the open grass area adjacent to the museum, where we can restore and rebuild it to its former glory. Unfortunately, we recently learned that the bridge cannot be connected to the wire rope workshop, making this project even more urgent.

We are seeking your support to raise funds for this important restoration effort. Together, we can ensure that this piece of our community’s history is preserved for future generations. Your contributions will help us replace damaged parts and celebrate the craftsmanship and spirit of the Shriners. Thank you for helping us keep our history alive!
