SAVE THE END!

For a few years now, we’ve worked ourselves crazy to bring music to Houston right there off Lawndale in the Southeast Side.

Literal Blood, Sweat and Tears have been shed in the making of The End/The Compound.

In just a few short years we’ve managed to create a safe place for art and music of all kinds. Punk, Hardcore, Cumbia, Tejano, Ska, Indie, Emo, Rap, Noise etc. were all welcomed and presented on our stages.

Recently, we’ve had to abruptly shut our doors and relocate next door to what was to be known as “Ground Control,” and was to be our third stage alongside The End and The Compound.

At the risk of legal issues, we can really only provide our opinion on the matter/reasons why we had to shut down, which of course is that it’s absolutely incorrect. If you know us, we strive to be respectful and as straight forward as possible, we treated our patrons and friends to a safe place, as free of any trouble as possible.

Which leads us to our current state, a legal battle for our right to exist as one of Houston’s Venue’s for DIY Artists and beyond. One that has brought countless shows to Houston and one that plans to stay as long as the City of Houston exists. At this point we’re turning to any and everyone who has had a good time with us at a show, attending or playing, discovering new artists and music, making friends, etc.

Spare what you can ABSOLUTELY spare without putting yourself into an uncomfortable position, please. We need aid in funding our move and helping with legal assistance. Everything helps.

NO LAMES CAN HOLD US DOWN! We will fight, we will will honor our City and represent all artists and homies who have been inside these walls.
