Save the Flattop House

Tax deductible
You still have a chance to help save an iconic piece of Oak Ridge and Manhattan Project history – the Flattop House.

Since 2009, the Flattop had been on exhibit at the American Museum of Science and Energy (AMSE), but AMSE recently moved to a new location that had no room for the house.

On October 16, 2018 the Flattop was moved to the grounds of the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge (CMOR), located in a historic Manhattan Project neighborhood not too far from the home's original address. At CMOR, the 576 sq. ft. Flattop House will teach visitors of all ages about life during the Manhattan Project.

The move has happened, but we need your help to complete this project. Your donation will help pay for the supplies and renovation work needed to prepare the house for visitors.  The Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization, and your gift is tax deductible.  Thank you for your generosity!
