Keeping months worth of internal, family drama to a minimum, here are the basic details.

The place I've called home for the last 5 years has helped me grow so much in my cosplay career and personal life. Unfortunately, it is in my grandpa's name. My aunt is my grandpa's power of attorney. She unexpectedly moved him to assisted living (we found out through a Facebook post), and without time to prepare, the goverment is seeking to liquidate his assets - one being this very home my family has come to call a safe haven. Ideally, all his other assets (truck, farm equipment, etc) should be liquidated before our home. Why is it not? We have no idea. However, after receiving a letter in the mail, we were left with two options:
Purchase the property for $150,000
OR
Have the property gifted to us if my mom gets on disability.

Without time to prepare, we were unable to purchase the home for such a large amount and did not receive approval from several banks for that much. My mom has been in an active search with 3 doctors who all agree she should be on disability. She has a degenerative bone disease that is destroying her body at a rapid rate. She needs an ankle replacement and, again, has been determined disabled by the doctors but not from social security. Social security believes she makes too much. ADRC disagrees with them and is frantically trying to open a case with a lawyer after she was treated unrightfully. So far, no lawyer has taken the case. Although our home is off-market, somehow, someone made an offer of $170,000. If we do not do something now, our entire home and all the memories along with it will be stolen away from us. We've been frantically looking for an apartment or something similar to no avail (we have been declined for unknown reasons). This house is in my grandpa's will to go to us, so his lawyer is trying to respect his wishes. My aunt, being power of attorney, is supposed to be working his final wishes while he is still living and she has instead vouched to help sell our home.
It's been a very rough time processing all of this. My nonprofit started here and grew leaps and bounds. My mom's personal business also started here. My cosplay journey took off with the finishing of Ryu the Argonian here & also witnessed the creation of Montgomery Gator.
Finances are super strapped right now. We are panicking because we have nowhere to go. I have since had to rehome all of my animals and, as you all know, my animals are like my kids to me.

As a last resort, I decided to open a GoFundMe to desperately try and help us raise money for a home that was gifted to us. I have nothing to offer in return and I wish I did. Cosplay content will resume when I figure out where we will be, and ideally, we won't have to move at all. Those chances are actively dwindling.

I am reaching out to say, "Please help." My family and I are at a loss. I'm trying to be as transparent as ever here without compromising the personal details of my family. Understanding that is appreciated.

If things go south as quickly as they currently are, any funds raised will be used as a down-payment somewhere else.

Thank you.
