Who Am I

Hi Everyone. I'm Stephen Sutherland, the founder of the Guardians of Greatness Youth Program - a visionary program to end our epidemic of gang violence in the USA.

My Mission

My mission is to end our epidemic of gang violence. I studied the dynamics for the past 10 years. I wrote a book with new theories and a comprehensive system to end the gang violence.

I have spent the past 2 years starting the youth program as a self-funded initiative. I moved to Baltimore city which at the time was and is the #1 deadliest city in the USA (for cities with a population above 500,000 people.)

Launching My Program

In my youth program, I made presentations to juveniles managed by the juvenile detention system and I made presentations to young people at the recreation centers.

The young people learned everything that you see on my banner and more. For example, they learned aviation on flight simulators, quadcopters and in the air in real Cessna Aircrafts. The cost of 1 hour of instruction in the air is $230. I paid for everything out of pocket.

Financial Crisis

By the end of that 2 year period, personal funds were running low. I received a contract to present through one city agency for the fall semester of 2023. However, unexpectedly mid-January 2024, I did not receive a contract after I purchased thousands of dollars of inventory (incentives, our t-shirt uniforms and more.)

What was lost

It was to be an awesome and news worthy year of aviation, but without a contract, my potential cash flow was interrupted - and my existing cash was tied up in inventory. Being defunded was a mishap because my normal administrator was out on long-term sick leave.

Hundreds of not for profit youth programs are also facing crisis in Baltimore City because the ARPA funds are depleted.

With a massive loss of youth programs, the city has the potential to be doomed to hire levels of crime. Therefore it is critical that we make our best efforts to stay open.

My Plan for Self-Sufficiency

I attempted to pivot to different business activity like the sale of products on my website, but I could not escape the difficulty of my marketing funds and working capital tied up in my inventory.

That was a plan from the beginning and the young peopl were informed that they would be helping me with the design of products to learn entrepreneurship of the product. And some youth did in fact design rings as well. This is part of the innovative plan to teach them entrepreneurship and cooperation.

However, I would need marketing funds to do that.

How can you help

How Much Do I Need?

The funds would be used for the following purpose:

1. Our office space $10,000 dollars

2. $5,000 dollars would be used for facebook targeted ads. I am confident that $5,000 will be enough enough for us to be self-sufficient.

Right now, I only have $200 dollars for facebook ads. Our click-through-rate CTR is 4.8% to sell our 24 karat gold ring - to philanthropist and that's an awesome click through rate.

But to make the sale will require a fe more careful efforts and funding of at least $5,000 dollars to get the job done. With your help our program would survive to have the most awesome year for aviation in the history of Baltimore.
