Save the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse
Tax deductible
Hurrincane Irma caused major beach erosion to the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse. Over 50% of the land the lighthouse stands on has been lost. To fix this problem a 50 foot wall of Georgia Granite is needed to create a retaining wall (to replace the damaged concrete wall erected in 2004)
Its imperative that we act NOW-- the sand has been removed and now is the perfect time to install the huge boulders of Georgia Granite that will protect the lighthouse for generations to come. We have the engineering drawing, elevation specs and a survey from 2015 that show the need for such a wall.
All funds will be used to build a 50 foot Georgia Granite retaining wall to protect the lighthouse from falling down.
