Save the home of American Legion Post 57

Hello, I'm the current Commander for the Patterson, Dawson, Crawford, Arnold Post 57 in Owosso Michigan and our home needs your help!

We’re currently trying to raise $37,500 to help support our building, our home. Just like your home occasionally needs to be updated, repainted, filters changed, leaks fixed and utilities paid so does Post 57’s home. And like your home, our home is where our family of Military Veterans and families gather to support one another, to share successes, to celebrate life’s accomplishments and, when necessary, to grieve and be there for one another during times of tragedy. Our home with a cornerstone dating to 1924 has been a location of countless community and Veteran events. Our home which is rich in those many years of history needs your help.

A sample of what your donation will help with:

• The lift chair that is so important to our Veterans with mobility issues needs repair,

• the large gathering room has been the venue for so many community events and Veteran support activities over the years that it needs repainting.

• The furnace needs service,

• The exterior brick needs repointing to keep out the water during rain

• and just like your home, utilities must be paid.

Please consider supporting the military veterans and their families of American Legion Post 57. Let them know you understand the structure on the corner of Mason and Park Street is more than just a building, it is an important community resource and a resource for those military men and women that served our Country and, in many instances, still volunteer in the community today.
