Save The Inn

My name is Sally and I am the co-owner of The Five Star Inn in Maggie Valley, NC. It's been almost two weeks since catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene hit WNC. On the morning of September 27th, The Five Star Inn, like many other businesses and homes was devastated by Hurricane Helene flood waters. The force of rushing mud-filled water completely engulfed all rooms at the front of the property, including our office, living quarters, and vehicles. We have been forced to close our Inn until further notice.

We are overwhelmed by the outreach we have received from the community, former guests, family, and friends; many asking how they can help us. We want nothing more than to be able to reopen and offer that family friendly atmosphere you all have come to know and love-- your home away from home. We have a long road ahead of us. While we are fortunate that we are not lacking basic necessities, the restoration of The Five Star Inn will be a costly endeavor. We are concerned as our income has stopped, but the bills keep coming. With that being said, please do not feel obligated to donate, but keep in mind that all donations given will help us "save the inn" and help our little mountain town recover from this tragedy.
