Save the New Moon Theater

The New Moon Theater on Main Street in Neligh, Nebraska is the only movie theater in a 30-mile radius.  Several years ago, the theater closed its doors.  While sitting empty, its roof, marquee, façade, and interior have fallen into disrepair.  We are raising money to purchase the building and will use any remaining funds toward the needed renovations.  Because of the condition of the roof and marquee, it is essential that we begin repairs as soon as possible to avoid further damage.  

Supporting this cause will ensure that the residents in our rural area can enjoy the arts (movies, theater, and university performances) and come together as a community.  The oldest and youngest residents of the county who are less inclined to travel long distances will have a place to enjoy these experiences in a non-profit theater.
