Save the Newark Rotary Clock

For nearly a century, the Rotary Clock has stood watch over Newark.

It’s beauty and function have been caught in countless snapshot and yearbook photos. The bronze plaques proclaiming our Rotary motto “Service Above Self” and our four-way test inspires passersby and anchors countless scavenger hunts for UD students.

Time has not been kind to our clock. Motors have worn out, paint has peeled and storms have dented the clock case of this Main Street landmark.

Our beloved clock is due for a restoration.

I am writing to ask for your help with the planned restoration. Will you make a donation to help fund this labor of love?

If we raise more than is needed for the restoration, we will set that money aside for future maintenance (oiling the gears, paint touchup etc)
