Hi, my name is David Candanoza. Most people know me by Super Dave. I have been the owner of Cedar Hill Roller Rink for the last 18 years! Cedar Hill Roller Rink is the oldest skating rink in Texas! It was established in 1956. During that time we have hosted birthday parties, family reunions, graduations, even baby showers! We have shared the joy with your families as you celebrate these milestones.

I have lived in Cedar Hill since grade school, and graduated from Cedar Hill High School. After high school, I joined the Air Force and proudly served during the Desert Storm War. I returned to Cedar Hill and have continued to serve my community by partnering with after school food programs, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and many foster families.

I have recently learned that repairs and updates to this old building are going to cost a substantial sum of money. We have electrical, plumbing and foundation issues to work on as well as cosmetic updates. Don’t worry, we will leave the nostalgic feeling so many love. These are necessary for the rink to remain open.

I am asking for help to make these updates. I LOVE the rink and have invested my time, energy and money to make it a safe, family-friendly environment. I want to continue to serve the community by keeping my business open. I’m afraid without your help, that will not be possible. I am on a time limit to have these repairs done, and being a small business, it takes every penny to keep it up and running. Please consider making a donation of any amount.
