Welcome to Faith Lutheran High School, home of the Saints!
FLHS is a private Lutheran high school that has always given and shared love to those that walk through our doors. FLHS has always been a very close-knit group of students, faculty, and parents, one we consider a family. Our family has been through a lot of ups and downs, like most, but we need your help more than ever before.
This week, the students, families and teachers of Faith were informed that our beloved Faith Lutheran High School may close. We have been given numbers financially of how much debt the school is in, and although the numbers may be staggering, they are not impossible with your help and the help of the Lord! To ensure that we open for the next year, we need to raise $100,000.
Being open at least one more year would greatly benefit everyone here. It gives us a chance to re-evaluate how we run the building, so that we come even closer together and cut expenses. We can reach out to our feeder schools and build stronger relationships over the year to strengthen our incoming classes. It allows our teachers to continue doing the job they love, in the place they have made their home. It gives the current students the comfort knowing they can be with their family one more year.
Our school has always had a very small student-teacher ratio, so that nobody feels left out. We encourage everyone to be themselves and come out of their shell without judgement but rather with love. We embrace being the silly family antics and showing each other love as our Lord does. The love in the building shows in our higher than average ACT scores, volunteer work, and overall attitude.
We have been challenged by the school board to reach this goal in two weeks, by Tuesday, July 31st, 2018. The school board and delegates will meet together and make their final decision to keep the doors open, or close them for good on August 2nd, 2018.
With the help of God, your generous donations and encouragement, we believe we can achieve this goal set for us! The school has touched the hearts of so many and given hope, friends, and love to those that have needed most. Any contribution and donation is greatly loved and appreciated, and even if you can't donate, please, please, PLEASE hit that share button and spread the word!
We are one of the ONLY Lutheran high schools in the area, and if we close, a family is torn apart and many hearts will weep. Fellow Christians, friends, family....we need your help and the time is now! May God bless you and be with you, and thank you for taking the time to read this
