Donation protected
Merchant Oyster Co. is looking for support during these hard times to help keep this community restaurant alive. Merchant is a Northeast-style oyster bar and chowder house that brings a beachfront feel to a city community. They are home to a monthly competition called "Shuck and Suck" that includes live music, discounted beers and oysters, followed by a competition where four teams of two partner to see who can eat the most oysters in two minutes. Merchant is a young restaurant and has only been operating for a little over two years and needs funds to help bridge the gap in supporting staff, paying rent and to also purchase product in order to reopen.
VISIT THE MERCHANT BODEGA
Merchant has tried to do take-out, but with a lack of staff it proved unsuccessful and is now holding a pop-up bodega on the weekends selling products, prepared foods, groceries and beer to the local community in order to give the option of not going to a larger store. Please visit Merchants on Saturdays & Sundays from 1pm - 4pm to shop right from their open storefront.
RAISE FUNDS, SHAVE CHEF DENNIS' BEARD
Chef Dennis Marron has pledged that after the first $5,000 raised, he will shave his beard. The last time he shaved it was SIX YEARS ago! There be a live streaming event of the shaving!
REOPENING EVENT!
Upon their reopening, there will be a private gofundme event to celebrate with family and friends of the community. Anyone that gives $200 and up in donations will be invited to the reopening celebration.
THANK YOU
Merchant is so grateful for the support they have received. The restaurant has always strived to be a community center in Lawrenceville and hopes to be able to reopen and provide a gathering place for family and friends once again.
