Save The Turtles in Belize

Hi, I’m Juliette! I recently visited Belize with Fauna and Flora, where I saw firsthand the critical work being done to protect endangered animals. When I saw a turtle in the water for the first time, I was in awe, and I knew I had to do something to help keep this magnificent creature alive.

Turtle survival is at risk due to habitat loss, poaching, and climate change. I’m raising funds to support their conservation efforts. Turtles survived the age of dinosaurs, but now, many species are critically endangered due to human activity.

I have always felt a deep connection to the ocean, the beach, and marine life. Seeing how close turtles are to disappearing inspired me to act and do everything possible to help. You can make a difference by supporting this cause—together, we can help ensure these incredible creatures have a future.

Why It’s Important:

Hawksbill turtles help protect coral reefs by feeding on sponges.

Loggerhead turtles control jellyfish populations, maintaining a healthy ocean ecosystem.

Hicatee River turtles are vital seed dispersers for freshwater plants, keeping river ecosystems healthy.

Without these turtles, entire ecosystems will be thrown out of balance. Turtle nests provide nutrients to beaches, preventing erosion, and their shells act as homes for fish and marine life. We need your help to protect them and Earth’s future!
