Save The Unseen Bean
Donation protected
Gerry Leary is a local coffee roaster living in Boulder, CO who has been blind since birth. After working as an auto-mechanic for 40 years. Gerry travelled to San Francisco to learn to roast at the West Coast Specialty Coffee Company. Beginning with only a quarter-pound roaster in a shed in his yard, Gerry logged every roast until he perfected the craft of roasting coffee in the dark. He founded a café on Pearl Street called The Unseen Bean in 2003. Due to financial struggles, he had to close down the shop. Gerry began selling beans exclusively online. Because of a lack of publicity and funds, Gerry's coffee supplier will no longer sell to him. Please help Gerry get back on his feet and fulfill his dream of opening up a new coffee shop or, at the very least, find the funds to establish a new supplier. This would mean the world to Gerry, his family, and friends. Any donation at all is so appreciated. If you can't make a donation, consider sharing this link to spread the word. Gerry roasts his coffee with love and we hope you all get to taste his coffee once his business is up and running again!
