Save the Yooper House

Hi, my name is Larry Humphreys (LongHaul Larry on YouTube), and I am in the middle of a restoration of a house I bought over 2 years ago. I completely rebuilt the interior of the house and those videos are on my YouTube account, it was quite the remodel! Then 2 years ago I fell off a semi trailer and broke my back and went though major surgeries to repair that and lengthy recovery, it put the remodel of the outside of the house on hold. I tried to return to work but just wasn’t able to handle the job anymore! Since the surgery my lower back has really been an issue! I switched careers and started up my own business and has been a financial struggle but was making it work.

Then I had the funds set aside to start the project on my house and get completed before winter. I had some helpers from my church show up and I stopped at the lumber yard for some materials and was loading up and my lower back got twisted and shooting pain down my leg, this happens from time to time. I called my chiropractor and got in for an adjustment that afternoon and laid down on ice and hoped for the best. The next day I was very sore but tried to work for a bit and then it really started to act up and tried to get into house and collapsed on the steps into house! Next thing I know I’m in an ambulance and on the way to ER, scan done and then in medical transport to Marquette for surgery. My L5 was fractured in many locations and had to be removed and a new bone structure fused in with screws to my pelvis. Another major surgery! It had been like this since my first accident and by gods Grace it held together and didn’t do major damage to my Spinal cord

While I was in the hospital one of the helpers decided to help me out and started shingles on the house, when I was released and came home I saw the job and it was the worst shingling job I have ever seen and leaking into the house. I had some people help and had to remove all the new shingles and I had to repurchase all new supplies. With being tight on funds in the first place and then going though all the hospitals and such this has put me into a negative financial experience! I now have all the medical expenses to deal with and this caused me to not be able purchase the rest of the materials to finish the job before winter and get this house sealed up. I did have a guy that was hired to complete the job but he has come upon his own issues and won’t be able to complete the task so I am having to find someone else since I am not able to complete the task.

So I have never in my life asked for help this but a friend, JBG Travels thought this might help and I have decided to humble myself and ask for help. So if you are able to donate then I thank you from the bottom of my heart, if not I do understand. It is tough out there financially out there right now, if I am able to reach my goals on this it will pay a portion of the materials I need to finish the job and with gods Grace he will provide the rest of my needs.
