Save This Neon Shop
My name is Clif Eddens. My company, Random Neon LLC is located in Nutley, NJ. My neon shop was destroyed in the flood that followed Hurricane Ida. I'm raising funds to rebuild such that I can once again work towards the creation of objects of beauty and pass along this historical artistic information to others.
I plan to use funds generated here to purchase equipment and materials that were damaged in the flood. Equipment items include the large transformer used in creation of neon tubes called a bombarder and the main air blower that was submerged in putrid flood water and destroyed. In addition, 40 transformers (power supplies) that were destroyed will be replaced. Among the materials that need to be replaced are several hundred pounds of contaminated neon glass as well as acrylic mounting boards, which are used for assembly of neon signs and sculptures. I will also use the funds to store what I can salvage, and relocate and rebuild my shop.
The main picture for this fundraiser depicts some of my former students during a weekend workshop as they show off their own creations.
