Save Rare African American Cookbook
Donation protected
I am a journalist, rescuing rare African American recipe books that history has ignored. Your donation returns black art to the black community so we can proudly reclaim great, but invisible, cooks as role models of wisom, talent, knowledge and skill. With your support, I will be just one book away from recovering First Editions of more than 350 books, which date back to 1827. You can learn about me or my collection in the James Beard award-winning book, The Jemima Code: Two Centuries of African American Cookbooks. I have other projects in mind for these books, too, including a film. Someday, the books will be donated to a university archive.
