Save Treetops Kitty Cafe
Since 2017, Treetops Kitty Cafe, a very important project of Tree Tops Animal Rescue:
Our mission is to rescue adoptable lost, abandoned, or surrendered animals; to supply needed care and medical attention including being spayed/neutered; to provide them with re-socialization; and to place them in permanent adoptive homes where they will be loved and properly cared for.
This is Natalie, she was with us for quite a long time because she was very "sassy"! She finally found the right home for her personality and is now thriving!
It's time again that we need to collect funds to help keep Treetops Kitty Cafe running.
Simply put, we don't have a steady source of donations. We're a non-profit with two staff members and a team of volunteers. We have to pay our staff when we are able so we can continue saving lives and putting the same amount of effort into our work. We have rent, utilities, and vet bills due every month, totaling over $2,000. Our income is far less. Most of the time, our bank balance is too low to pay our employees for full-time work.
Our Kitty Cafe-Adoption Center - The place where we care for our cats and much of the time spend re-socializing the timid ones.
Our main source of daily donations is from reservations and walk-ins. We make a small amount from adoptions and sales within the Cafe. Typically, our public events are hit and miss. It's a constant uphill battle. We work after hours, weekends, nights, and early mornings. We're here on holidays and during severe weather. Keeping 25 cats safe, secure, and healthy truly requires a small village.
We really need consistent large donations.
This year has been difficult for us. We're constantly battling illnesses amongst the cats and we've taken cats in with major medical or behavioral needs. Between that and COVID, we're extremely proud of our constant ability to find homes for hard-to-adopt cats and want to continue offering a place for them to find homes.
Simply put, not all cats are friendly, healthy, and snuggly. We have our fair share of cats who are, but being a rescue, we offer opportunities for those cats who are not perfect. We aim to educate the public on responsible pet ownership in our quest to find suitable homes for our rescued shelter cats. We provide a safe environment for cat-lovers to interact with animals. Our space is inclusive, supportive, and comforting. Treetops acts as a therapeutic experience for many who enter our doors.
Please help us keep going. We can't do it alone. If you or someone you know is interested in supporting us with a monthly donation, please reach out so we can talk you through setting up a payment plan.
