Hi, my name is Ashleigh. Thank you for being here ❤️ With your help, we can save 3 adorable and vulnerable street dogs from death due to the new law Turkey have passed to collect and kill street dogs in their country regardless if they’re young, old, aggressive, friendly, sick or healthy. I am asking for your help because I cannot do this alone.

In June 2022, we decided to adopt a street dog from Istanbul as we fell in love with her and truly believe she was meant for us. You can see our story on TikTok here, Rescuing Laia. Around the corner from the sanctuary where she is living until we can bring her to London, there is a petrol station where these three babies try to survive.

Each time we have visited, we have spent time with them, fed them, played with them and taken one to the vets for treatment after he was attacked. They are only babies, one being only 1 year old.

This week, Turkish legislators approved a law to collect and kill millions of beloved street dogs. They will be collected and dumped in overcrowded shelters to starve and die, or be brutally beaten in the most barbaric way. The collection process has already began.

To be able to move them into the same sanctuary where they will be safe from harm, with food and water and loving care every day is costly. They will need vaccinations against rabies and parasites, they will require any treatment for diseases they currently have such as blood disease from ticks/fleas, along with neutering. Any remaining money will go towards travel documents and transport to their new homes plus any additional boarding.

£120 for neutering x3 = £360
£360 titres and vaccinations x3 = £1,080 (this doesn't include any additional treatment they may need - additional tests for diseases approx £600 per dog)
£100 each per month boarding x6 months minimum £600 (x3)
£3,840 total.

I am aiming to raise £5,000 to allow them to go into the sanctuary and receive treatment while I find new families for them to go to. This will enable me time, with peace of mind knowing they’re safe for a long time and will never return to the streets to die.
