Save Van Zandt County
Donation protected
Our goal is to protect Van Zandt County's agriculturally productive land with a deep heritage going back to the early 1800s from being stripped and destroyed by California energy companies looking to make a quick buck.
California based Pattern Energy and Pattern Development, hiding under a shell company called "Old Jackson Solar, LLC", wants to use almost 1,000 acres of productive agricultural land in Van Zandt County for their first U.S. Solar Plant. They will cover this beautiful ecologically diverse land with 450,000 solar panels mounted on 70,000 pylons driven into the ground. Then they will block out our diverse wildlife with a 6-8’ fence topped with razor and barbed wire.
Surrounding property owners will lose the value of their property and suffer damages to their housing during construction.
Help us stop this unfathomable damage that is caused by pure greed.
