To our beloved customers,

Due to the economic consequences of COVID-19, we are at risk of closing down forever - no more freshly
stone-ground organic whole grain flour, Real Bread, Flax-Seed Oat or Vital Vegan Sweets. We have lost revenue from our hospitals, restaurants, schools, and even grocery stores. We really do not want
to close our doors, so we are appealing directly
to you. You may actually know the perfect person or organization that can help.

Vital Vittles (vitalvittles.com) has been baking delicious, organic, healthful products for 44 years. It has been a joy and a journey; a wonderful partnership between the founders - the Schwin family - and the present employee/owners - the Tran family. There are steps we can take. These include:

·         Hiring a sales manager who will help get Vital Vittles into home delivery boxes (CSAs), farmers’ markets, cafés, restaurants and more grocery stores

·         Supplying our healthful products to more hospitals and schools

·         Selling our unique stone-ground whole wheat flour in retail stores and to bakeries and restaurants

·         Opening an outdoor cafe at Vital Vittles Bakery on San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley

·         Developing delicious new Vital Vittles products

·         Finding a tenant to use excess capacity in our certified organic, kosher bakery.
