Save Volodymyr Perevalov after Critical Paragliding Accident

Nearbirds' harness designer and competition pilot, Volodymyr Perevalov, has had a serious accident in North Macedonia, and needs the community's support. He suffered multiple pelvis and leg fractures and a compromised artery, and his insurance has covered only some of what is needed.

My name is Olga and I am helping Volodymyr to collect money to cover needed surgeries. I know Volodymyr for a very long time. He taught me to fly XC.

Volodymyr was discovered beside a road near Treskavec with multiple leg fractures and a broken pelvis on 13 August.

Although he recalls coming in to land, he has no memory of the accident and it is suspected that he was hit by a vehicle.

Emergency surgery was successful in repairing a compromised artery and stabilising his condition but unfortunately his insurance coverage is now exhausted.

We are trying to raise €7,000, which is only a fraction of what he needs. Five rounds of the needed surgeries for his broken pelvis and leg are estimated to €67,400 in total. Without the surgery to his pelvis he is unable to travel and at risk of further arterial damage.
