Hello beloved YogaFresh community, friends and family,
The pandemic has hit small businesses hard and YogaFresh is no exception. While it’s uncomfortable for me to ask for help, the future of YogaFresh is at stake.
YogaFresh is a Woodbury institution. We were the City’s first yoga studio offering quality classes and programming since 2007 while earning the Best of Woodbury designation numerous times.
Despite all of the hard work and dedication, it might not be enough. As our fixed expenses (i.e., rent, payroll, utilities, virtual equipment, subscriptions, insurance and fees, etc.) have stayed the same or increased, our revenue has declined by 70% since last March. We’ve only made it this far with the support of our members and community and for that we’re grateful. We want to continue to be here for our community and to offer meaningful ways to stay connected even during isolating times.
That vital connection is why we’re asking you to help YogaFresh weather the duration of this pandemic.
We have been operating at a loss for months. Since we haven’t qualified for any substantial relief from the State and continue to get overlooked for funding, we need your help to offset our operating expenses. We have applied for financial assistance, however our studio falls into a tax category that doesn’t qualify for support. Most small mom and pop fitness and wellness businesses have also found this to be true.
We’ve seen many amazing yoga studios both near and far close for good over these past ten months and realize there are a lot of appeals for your help these days. Please consider donating to YogaFresh whatever you can, no matter how small, to help us keep our doors open and continue to support our YF teachers. If we raise more than we need, we will use the money to offer scholarships to those that can’t afford classes.
