Video explanation on YouTube.
In 2017/2018, V2rocketproductions filmed 3-4 episodes of Zombie House which became a viral hit on their YouTube channel. While episodes 1 and 2 were completed, episode 3 (with a possible 4th) was never completed due to the director and crew taking a hiatus from zombies content. V2rocketproductions became a dormant channel for a few years but the director and a few of the crew members have made a revival of the channel.
Wanting to give the fans what they've been asking for, Collin Smith, the director, began editing Zombie House episode 3. When opening the 7 year old HDD drive, a hardware malfunction occurred. All zombie house files along with Prop Hunt in Real Life, a Group 935 horror pilot episode, and numerous other clips were lost. Collin in an attempt to save the files, took the drive to a local computer repair store where the employees attempted a file recovery. They notified Collin that the malfunction is more severe than anticipated and it'll require a specialist to recover the lost data.
SSD and HDD file recovery from damaged drives is a very expensive and complicating procedure. Drives fail often and depending on how many files are on the drive, it can cost thousands to recover them.
Collin Smith was quoted around 2,000$ to fix the drive along with about 500-800$ to acquire new SSD drives to store all files on an efficient and fast editing external drive. While the director does feel that this is a price point that V2rocketproductions could afford over a period of time, it'll cause major delays once again to a channel trying to make a revival.
A lot of the burn out and reason for the channel being abandoned was due to life issues continuously happening. While the director would love to make zombie house episode 3 a reality, the ultimate truth is that it's being brought back solely for the fans and not out of a personal desire. There are 14 new videos in queue for V2rocketproductions and those will have to be put on hold to make Zombie House episode 3. The director understands that while he'd like to move onto bigger and better projects, finishing the old ones are important to long term fans.
So this is where you come in as a fan. Your donations have the ability to save zombie house and numerous other video projects saved on the drive. The specialists have also stated that if the files cannot be recovered, the money will be refunded back to the director. If this happen, all will be refunded from the gofundme.
Any bit helps! We want to create this video for you and showcase to our audience that V2rocketproductions is back in action. If you donate any amount, we will be happy to thank you for your donation.
