"Hi, I’m Will Roberts, owner of Zucchini’s Tricks n’ Things—California’s oldest magic shop, located on the iconic Cannery Row. For 45 years, this shop has been a cornerstone of magic, wonder, and unforgettable memories. It’s where I began my journey as a teenage magician 44 years ago, and now, as its proud owner, I’m fighting to keep this beloved piece of magic history alive.

But times have changed. The challenges of the COVID-19 aftermath, the rise of online retail giants like Amazon, and the skyrocketing cost of living in California have drastically reduced foot traffic to Cannery Row. It’s been tough—really tough—to keep up with rising rent and expenses.

However, I’m not giving up. I’ve managed to negotiate a more affordable location just a short distance away, and I’ve worked out an agreement to reduce the cost of ending my current lease—saving several thousand dollars. But I still need help to make this move a reality.

I’m raising $20,000 to cover moving costs, new signage, and labor. With your support, we can keep Zucchini’s Tricks and Things alive, ensuring future generations can experience the magic this shop has shared for nearly half a century.
