Save the house of a real life saint
Donation protected
An 84 year old woman who has fostered over 100 disabled and disadvantaged children the past 35 years is in danger of losing the home where this all happened. Not only that, she adopted the last three she took into her home over the past three years: Ernest (15), Sierra (8) and Alexis (5). Her name is Monica Lockhart and she is a true saint.

My name is Kayvan Khalatbari and I have been a mentor for Ernest for the past six years through the Denver Kids program, but apply the same effort and love to Sierra and Alexis as well. They are phenomenal children that were at one time homeless or in a household that was abusive in one way or another. The fact that they are as polite, intelligent and happy as they are today is a true testament to the impact Monica has had on their lives and the scores of children that came before them.
Unfortunately, she found herself in financial need (for repairs and maintenance to her home) and sought out a refinancing of her mortgage in 2004. In 2006, our state legislature enacted protection for people like her, but very possibly too late for her to have the assistance of that law. Unknown to her, the documents she signed were not refinancing documents, but rather sale documents. We're trying to help her get the ownership of her house back to her, 100%. She needs cash to back up her application for a reverse mortgage and to make those repairs she needed to make in 2004...
She's been stuck in the middle of a lawsuit to keep her house from these criminals for well over a year, with legal bills mounting, adding to the problem. I personally have paid a fair amount towards these bills and the tremendous attorney that took the case has zeroed out much of the balance as well, but this all persists. But, THIS MONEY IS GOING TO MONICA and NOT the attorney.
Will you help her? Any amount will help. All funds will go to a trust account for her and her lawyer and I will help vet contractors to help ensure she doesn't get harmed again. If the repairs are made and there are funds remaining, she will get the balance of the funds raised.
