 Save Beverly Fairfax is a coalition of building owners and residents of the Orange Grove Ave-Gardner Street Multi-family Residential Historic District (as defined by SurveyLA). Our goal is to achieve Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ) status for our proposed district (shown in the map below), in order to preserve its unique beauty and history for us today and for future generations. Join us and support The Beverly Fairfax HPOZ.


This Go-Fund Me is about saving affordable housing. It's about saving classic historic architecture in Los Angeles. It's about sending a message to developers that the current trend of destroying peoples' homes, displacing individuals and families, and uprooting contributing members of a community in the name of profit and a "housing shortage" is unacceptable and unethical.

Our immediate goal is to initiate the application for Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ) status. This would permanently protect our district from new out of scale development.

Why Should I Support an HPOZ?
If you are concerned that a “McMansion”(or worse, four McMansions on ONE lot) could be built next to you that could spoil the light, air, privacy and value of your property, support the Beverly Fairfax HPOZ. If you grew up in Los Angeles and consider your “hometown” to be an heirloom, support the Beverly Fairfax HPOZ. If you love the Fairfax District, live here by choice and would like to preserve its unique beauty and history for us today and for future generations, support the Beverly Fairfax HPOZ.
