My name is Bahaa Ashour, I am 33. I was working in a private company in the sales department. My wife's name is Isalm, and she is 29. We have two kids. My daughter calls Ayla, she has 2 years, and my baby boy his name is Nasser. He is only 3 months old.
Before this tragic war, I had my quiet and beautiful home and stable job. I was taking care of my parents and my little brother.
With great sadness, I say to the whole world my beautiful home was demolished, it became rubble. Our dreams and our future destroyed with it. therefore, I had to leave my elderly parents in northern Gaza, besieged and hungry, without the minimum necessities of life. My wife and I moved to southern Gaza, which was classified as a safe area, so that she can birth in a safe place away from war, bombing, destruction and random missiles also to protect my children from hunger and terrifying noises which left by rockets. My daughter Ayla would wake up every night screaming, terrified, and frightened.
We displaced many times from place to another, and we ended up in a tent in Rafah. It doesn't protect us from the heat of summer and the cold of winter.
My wife was born my baby boy Nasser in dire circumstances, as there were no services in the hospital. she did not receive the necessary health care during the birth or even after. In the current situation, we suffer from a lack of basic necessities of food and drink and a healthy shelter far from diseases and pollutants. Ayla suffered from an intestinal flu, which let me take her to the doctor several times, but to no avail due to the environment we live in.
My wife suffers from dry milk due to malnutrition and the lack of healthy food. The war has made me unable to provide a healthy environment for my daughter and my newborn son, who needs the health vaccines necessary for his age. As I mentioned previously, I used to work in the private sector, but since the beginning of the war I have not received any salary to support my family and my new child, and I have no financial income. Due to the exaggerated high prices the war has made me unable to provide even the slightest of my children’s rights, such as playing in entertainment places, finding sweets and delicious food, and wearing beautiful clothes. We suffer from the loss of these simple, necessary rights, which has made me feel extremely helpless to escape from the relentless grip of war.
We are now trying to get out of the war to safety. Our dream is not just to survive, but to find stability and rebuild our lives in a place free of the horrors of war, with your help for us in exchange for an amount costing $5,000 per person.
I hope everyone will show sympathy for the situation we are living in and help us get out of this nightmare. If you are not able to donate, I hope you will share the link on your personal accounts with colleagues or relatives who are able to contribute to saving my family.
We thank you from the depth of our hearts for your compassion and support during this difficult time.
