Save Hartford Athletics

This is a matter  of survival for both the University of Hartford and the Hartford Hawks Division 1 Athletic program. Please donate generously to help us save the #Neighborhood. 

We honor both the legacy of athletics alumni and embrace the gifts and the strength of the Division I student-athletes of our present and of our future. All of these people have been wronged, and we emphatically support the collective efforts to remain Division I and to bring the University of Hartford to immeasurable heights of greatness. We are using this money to assist the legal action to remain Division 1. Any excess funds will be donated to the University Athletic Department, pending the University maintaining its Division 1 status.  

Hartford Hawks Student-Athlete Success:

** These gifted student-athletes have won the Walter Harrison Academic Cup 6 out of the last 9 years, signifying the top athletic GPA in the America East Conference. 
** In all 9 years, Hartford has finished first or second in the Harrison Cup standings.  
** 3 Hawks sports, Men’s Basketball (3.61), Men’s Cross Country (3.6), and Softball (3.78), finished tops in their America East sports.  
** This year, the department finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.50.  
** 14 Hawks were named America East Presidential Scholar-Athletes.  This award recognizes a graduating senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher as an undergraduate student.  
**The Spring 2021 Semester marks the 30th consecutive term the Hawks have posted a 3.0 GPA or better.  




Hartford Athletics Success:

Since 2014 Alone:
 
** Our teams have appeared in 24 America East Semifinals
** Our teams have appeared in 15 America East Finals
** Our teams have won 3 America East Team championships
** Individual golfers have won 4 individual league championships
** Track and Field have had 9 NCAA Qualifiers (4 women’s/5 men’s)
