Save heritage "Heathcote Hall"

We are members of the local community of Heathcote, NSW who have formed a committee called "Save Heathcote East Action Committee".
The sole purpose of this 'go fund me' site is to raise money to aid our promotion and opposition to the deplorable 'concept plans' which the developer is trying to have approved.
The plans consist of units, townhouses and villas on the Heritage Listed site at 1-21 Dillwynnia Grove, Heathcote NSW 2233.
The developer is aiming for the units to be 5 stories high!
The current zoning of Heathcote East allows houses on minimum land size of 550sqm. This current zoning is due to the Councils realisation that our community is already overcrowded and current services cannot cope with more housing.
Some existing houses in neighbouring streets are on 2 lots. Councils 2015 re-zoning has prevented those blocks from being subdivided, once again, due to the inability for current infrastructure being unable to cope with any more development.
Heathcote Hall was built in 1867 and has become run down over the years. The hall is an iconic feature of Heathcote and has the potential to become a beautiful building which can be enjoyed by future generations.
To redevelop the surrounding land with the current proposed plans will go against Council regulations and destroy this peaceful part of Heathcote.
There is no guarantee that the developer will restore The Hall as stated in their promotion. They could build the eyesores and then become bankrupt! Heathcote Hall will then be surrounded by mass construction, the developers will have funnelled their profits elsewhere and Heathcote Hall will be left to rack and ruin on a small parcel of land.
Funds raised, initally, will go towards the costs of signage and other advertising to help raise awareness of this potential tragedy.
If enough funds are raised, legal advice and other expenses may become necessary, the money would be used for the sole purpose of fighting this development.
