SAVE Howard's Cafe!

Howard's Cafe on 9th and Irving has been a staple in the Inner Sunset for over 50 years. We've made it our goal to bring amazing and affordable food to the beautiful city of San Francisco since day one. Over the last few years we have fallen under financial hardships and even more recent, the appeal of home style cooking in our newly gentrified city has made it extremely difficult for Howard's to keep its doors open.  We recently  have considered selling the business and there is much interest in putting a new establishment at our current location.  In our last effort to put up a fight before finally calling it quits, we are reaching out to the community that we have served for so long to see if the appeal is still there. In recent times because of a decrease in business as well as increased labor and food costs, we have not been able to keep a respectable image to the beautiful city in which we belong. Our goal is to return Howard's Cafe to its cozy, home-warming hospitable self, with minor improvements to the interior while still keeping our old school feel. It has always been our goal here at Howard's Cafe to make sure you leave with a full belly and a big smile. Once we can no longer do both, we know that our job here is done.
