Support Johari

In 2015 we contracted a graphic designer to create artwork for the cover of our album "Pale Blue." On Friday I was informed by an attorney that the material used by the graphic designer to create this artwork is copyrighted and owned by a different graphic designer.

As a consequence... a take-down notice has been filed for all our music until we can provide proof that the graphic designer had rights to the material used to create our album cover.

All graphic designers who have created album covers for Johari sign contracts assuring us that they will not use copyrighted work without permission. However, since receiving this legal notice... I have not been able to reach the graphic designer who created our album cover to obtain proof that he had rights to the material used to create the "Pale Blue" album cover.

Until we can resolve this issue... our music will be removed from all stores.

This is serious. I need your help. We need to lawyer up.

If the graphic designer does have rights to the material, our attorney needs to obtain this proof from him and deliver it to the legal team that is filing the take-down notice.

If the graphic designer does not have rights to the material... things get much messier, and we will need our attorney to help us enforce our contracts to protect us from the consequences of the graphic designer's copyright infringement.

Please help me to protect Johari. We need funds to help us to afford an attorney, and to defend ourselves from this horrible situation. I don't want Johari to suffer from a mistake made by someone else.
