"History will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children." Nelson Mandela, anti-apartheid revolutionary and political leader
In a world filled with thousands of complicated problems and sufferings, helping Karaz is not one of them.
We asked you to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and remember your childhood...
Imagine yourself at 3 years old. All the joyful times, the ability to be carefree.
Embrace the warmth of the sun... Feeling the refreshing breeze blow past your face in the back of a car with the window down...
The 1st attempts in learning how to ride a tricycle. The discovery of butterflies and ladybugs...
Splashing water at a beach...
Everything was made better with the embrace of those who loved you.

Try to imagine if you had been robbed of all of that. What would your life be like if those cherished, free-spirited years were instead spent with bombs exploding above your tiny ears?
This is the story of Karaz. Now imagine.
After months of living like this, one day, you are hiding in the basement with your family as warplanes scream overhead. Your stomach in knots, suddenly, you hear a loud bang bursting above.. Within seconds the walls crack, the ceiling collapses.
The heavy debris of the building starts to fall on top of you, dust filling your nostrils.
In a desperate attempt to save you, your mother squeezes you into your arms and lets the impact of the debris fall onto her body. She saves you. But in the process, she is killed. You are knocked unconscious.
You awake in a half-functioning hospital filled with adults and children screaming, bleeding everywhere. . Sore and in pain. You can't open your eyes fully. You have a headache and pain you can't even describe.
At just three years old, these are the scars young Karaz carries. She lost her father, her mother, and siblings. At just three years old, she is the last surviving member of her family.
This is a story that feels impossibly painful for our souls. What do we do when we or our loved ones are in pain? Even in the most impossible circumstances, we learn how to heal. So I beg this question to all of you: what will you do to help Karaz heal?
Now is the time to nurture her cries from where we are.
With our support we can sustain her life. Nurture her injuries. Inspire hope. People do care...she will feel that care with the support in ensuring her basic needs are fulfilled.
This is Karaz. July 3rd she lost her mother and brother in an attack they endured.
Karaz's father is missing, he is believed to be a martyr. Karaz is being looked after by friends and her brave uncle Shehab in Gaza, who risks his life daily as a photojournalist so all of us can know the truth of what’s happening in Gaza.
Her maternal grandparents are in Egypt, desperately looking for a way to evacuate her.
Karaz’s world has collapsed. Though you may feel overwhelmed and helpless about everything, imagine how this is for her. I will ask you again: what will you do to help her heal? What can you give?
If just a few dollars is all you can afford, Remember an ocean is made up of drops of water.
May your drops contribute to Karaz's ocean. May it clean her injuries and soothe her hunger pangs.
Above is Karaz's home. Your support will prepare her to reunite with her grandparents.
Praise to Allah, Karaz is still alive. Please help her in any way that you can.
Above is the death certificate of her mother and brother then an image of the medical injury report of Karaz.
Her grandparents will provide the stable care and attention she needs at this time.
Any contacts from organizations like the Red Crescent and the World Health Organization, which are the only institutions that can assist in evacuating children safely, will be greatly appreciated. If you are aware of any organization that helps boost Karaz's story that would be extremely helpful.
Thank you, for reading this far, as many families are enduring difficult situations, we ask you to not dismiss the effort to be able to support in any way even if its a small donation or just sharing to people directly.
The drop you add to Karaz’s ocean will swim amongst the billions of drops in the ocean of Gaza and its people. Your love will ripple on forever.

As for those that want to know who I am.
My name is Isma, among others I have been closely in touch with Shehab and his family due to these unfortunate events. I have children of my own and can't fathom the horrors that are unfolding.
We wholeheartedly want to help in any way we can as we see their lives drastically change from what it was before.
Just like anyone else their lives were filled with hopes, dreams and a loving family. With a sunken heart we prepare this updated GFM to help baby Karaz.
