Get Laila Pettigrew a kidney
Donation protected
Help a young girl and her battle with End Stage Renal Disease; the fight to find a kidney donor for her. My name is Jeremy Pettigrew, single father of 3 wonderful children and brother of two awesome young men. Laila is my oldest daughter at 13, I have an autistic son, 12, and my youngest daughter is 10, my brothers are 15 and 18. I am fundraising in order to continue to be in Omaha for as long as needed for treatment and transplant , to travel back to home (SD) to maintain my house and property, offest the costs of living in Omaha as Laila does dialysis treatments 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), food, utilities, gasoline to get to and from treatments, car repairs, clothing, and to give Laila the chance to live a long and amazing life. When she was first born she was diagnosed with a cloacal abnormality, her bladder; bowels; and uterus didn't separate during development, and her body kinda grew around that anomaly. As a result she suffered other deformities as the doctors called them (I see them as just her strength and will to live) and had to have a kidney removed the day she was born. Back in 2009 she got very sick and almost died and had to be lifeflighted to Omaha. Laila received a cadaver kidney in 2012. In July 2015 the vein going to the kidney narrowed and caused rejection. We had to leave our home and come to Omaha to receive dialysis treatment seeing as it is the closest place that has pediatric dialysis capabilities. On January 15, 2016, Laila was placed on the organ transplant waiting list in Omaha Nebraska. The last time the wait for a kidney on the transplant waiting list was 2 years. We can help her sooner if we find a living donor. Please call and get checked to see if you can donate to Laila Pettigrew tell them you want to try to donate for Laila. If you can't help with a kidney help with anything you like or can. To become a potential kidney donor Call [phone redacted].
