Save protected bike lanes in Culver City!

Culver City became a world leader in advancing mobility and public transit in 2020 after launching the MOVE Culver City project, which instituted dedicated bus lanes and protected bike lanes all over the City. As a result of these bus and bike lanes, sales tax revenue in the corridor has skyrocketed for businesses, biking and walking have significantly increased, and more and more people are getting out of their cars and opting to bike or take the bus instead.
Now, a vocal minority is threatening to rip out the project -- and is violating state environmental law in the process. Developers spent a record amount of money in the 2022 election to take down the biggest mobility advocate on the Culver City Council and replace him with someone who was willing to spearhead ripping out the bike lanes: Dan O'Brien. Now, Dan and his fellow Councilmembers Goran and Albert plan to move full steam ahead.
Multiple legal experts have pointed out to the Culver City Council that removing a mobility project like this requires CEQA environmental review under state law to study the environmental impacts (and we know removing the project will pump thousands of tons of CO2 into the air), but the Council doesn't believe the state law applies to them.
We are Friends of Move Culver City, and we plan to fight Culver City if they do not comply with environmental law. Please donate to our cause, which will all go towards protecting and expanding our bike and bus lanes (any extra money left over will be donated to nonprofit org BikeLA), and help us protect our local environment for future generations.
We will not go backwards.
