This is Nikolai.

Sleeping is his favorite pass time.

That is - - when he isn't plundering and what not.

He is everything you could ever ask for in a dog.

Nikolai just turned 3 years old a couple weeks ago. He is playful, loving, and loyal.


Last week, he stopped eating and drinking. We took him to the vet that very same day. They treated him several times and did several tests over the course of a week. For a little bit, it looked like he was getting better. But yesterday (8/17/16). I came downstairs in the morning to find that he couldn't get up. He was laying in his own waste. We took him to the emergency room. After more tests, it is now confirmed that he has brain cancer.

According to our vet, it is slowly paralyzing him -- starting with his front legs.

He only needs 100 people to donate $60.


My name is Mallory Paulson and this is my husband, Stephen Paulson (photos below). I have anxiety and my husband has panic attacks. Nikolai calms us both. He makes us feel better about the world. To have him greet me when I get home from work with his little stub of a tail just wiggling away is just the best feeling in the world.


I am a working college student and we have little money. His bills are rocketing out of control and are now at approximately $16,000 (including radiosurgery estimate). We do have pet insurance, but it has a limit in reimbursement of $10,000 and his claim is pending.


Without radiation, he will die by slowly becoming paralyzed. He needs help now.
