My name is William Nasr. I'm an audiovisual storyteller from Beirut, based in Brooklyn, sharing the perspective of sons and daughters of immigrants, brothers and sisters from the global majority and anyone who has something to say. My journey as a writer and performer has taken quite a turn. I've been writing poetry and rap since I was 8 years old. Never took it very seriously and never dared to dream but I've always been such a fan of Hip Hop and lyricism that through the years, that was the one consistent thing I did that kept me happy, productive and fulfilled. to this day, there's nothing quite like rapping for your friends on their balcony. 4 years ago I released my first single to the public, after years and years of recording and trashing the product. Today, in between three jobs, I managed to book myself for monthly performances at a bar in Brooklyn, a 4 city mini euro-tour at the end of April/ early May, and release 3 singles since the beginning of April with t3 more to go before the end of it and somehow manage to not get fired from my day jobs. It's not easy to juggle so much, but part of me wants to do everything, and another part of me is starting to realize that I'm going to need to sacrifice safety for my dreams very soon. This past year has shown me that the more I give of myself to something, the more I get back. I'm very grateful to have been blessed with a good job in the city that pays enough to live where I want and enjoy the basic pleasures of life so I've been able to finance everything myself so far but at this point, the load is getting quite heavy. A music career is very fulfilling for the soul, but it doesn't pay much, quite the contrary, it costs me quite a lot to be able to create, record and release content and music.

And so, my friends, here I am, asking for your support so I can be one step closer to living the life I want and creating the art I know I'm capable of.
