www.rubberstamps.net Fire Relief #savethestamps
Donation protected
On Sunday, October 25th, our world collapsed. Our small business was decimated by fire. We are so grateful no one was injured and this happened when the building was empty, but almost nothing remains.
My name is Gwendolyn Lee and I founded www.rubberstamps.net with my father after college. He owned a small label company with only four employees, but he took me under his wing, mentored me. I battled intense epilepsy; my seizures were severe, unpredictable and most other environments were terrifying. Working with my dad felt like home. He drove me to work every day and was patient while doctors tested medications. A life-long napper, he was flexible with the sleepy side effects and our small business “nap room” was born. This business has been our safe space.
Over the last 15 years, we’ve grown to a family of 25 proud makers, misfits, nerds, wizards and furry office friends. Tinkering, making and converging art with technology is our fervent passion. Our average team member has been with us almost 10 years, we’ve been through everything together. Marriage, divorce, death, birth, medical emergencies, floods, tornados and a pandemic. With this devastating fire, our business is in jeopardy and our safe space is gone.
We have been inundated with positivity and support, wondering what can be done to help. Friends, family, customers, local businesses, vendors, other small and women-owned businesses, even competitors(!) have reached out, wondering how they can offer support. Many companies we work with have assured us they will bend over backwards to expedite our recovery and our team is eager to take on this monumental task. It is extremely humbling and overwhelming to see how many lives we’ve touched.
Everything donated will go directly to finding a new home, reopening and keeping our team members. We appreciate anything you can give, and no donation is too small.
Thank you very much in advance, we wouldn't be here without you.
