Saving 3 Pregnant Mustang Mares
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Morgan and I am a horse lover through and through. My dream has always been to rescue and rehabilitate horses who have fallen on hard times and into the wrong hands. For the past year, I have slowly been able to work into my dream, building a facility to accommodate untouched horses, sick horses, tired horses, old horses and horses that just need a new start in life. Working with mustangs has also become a passion of mine. Whether wild and fresh off the range or just needing that extra helping hand to make them loved members of the family, I love being able to assist in their transitions into useful members of the equine community.
Last week, three seemingly pregnant BLM mustang mares showed up at a Kill Pen in Oklahoma together. Whatever your thoughts might be on kill pens, these three mares didn't deserve their intended fate. Young, scared, unhandled and looking like they were in foal, these three girls were failed by the adopter that dumped them in a situation that, in many cases, has a horrible end. Drawn to these girls, I hoped to be able to find a way to get them out of there....
An ANGEL donor stepped up and paid the fee to free these girls from their prison!! But that is just the beginning... These three girls are not out of the woods and still have a long road to safety... this is why I am here today asking for a little help.
These three ladies and their possible unborn foals need to go through quarantine, be vetted, hauled to Colorado and then begin their rehabilitation processes. I rarely ask for financial assistance, but these three girls deserve to be given every opportunity to be healthy, happy, and raise the foals that they are carrying, without having to fight for their heath and safety. Funds raised will go directly to their care, feed and rehabilitation.
Thank you for your interest and any help you can provide, even if it just means sharing this with your friends!
Sincerly,
