Hi everyone I’m fundraising for my Uncle Jack, In hopes for him to be able to continue to keep “Captain Jacks at Picnic Island” . The FWC has declared his home a derelict vessel. They , the FWC have stated they will arrest him on 2 charges if he doesn’t comply or he can sign the vessel over to them and they will drop the charges on him. My Uncle built this house boat with his own 2 hands . It took about 4 years to build this house boat and transport it to the Florida Keys where he has lived for over 10 years on his home! The house boat is completely ran off of solar panels and also has reverse osmosis for drinking water , showers etc… The motor that originally powered the vessel was submerged in water the last really bad storm . He needs money to get a few motors or fix the original one. It’s a floating icon in the keys! I travel down to visit every year and take my son and a few friends . They always have so much fun and they learn so much about the environment , they have even learned how to fix and repair different things regarding boats. Everyone knows Captain Jack and his welcoming hospitality! Please let’s come together to save his home and keep the icon alive!
