Saving Charlene

At the end of July 2018 about a week before My Mother's 68th birthday she was diagnosed with stage 1 uterine cancer. She was thoroughly examined and ensured that after a hysterectomy she would be cancer free. Her doctor then submitted a request to her insurance for immediate surgery which was denied. After not getting a response or an approval from her insurance company, my Mother finally walked into UCLA's Emergency Room to get treatment anyway.

On September 17, 2018 just 7 weeks later, UCLA Medical Center expressed to My Mother that surgery was no longer an option for her. They informed her with the delay in approval from her insurance, her cancer had progressed to stage 4. Unfortunately, this was a time sensitive matter and their procrastination proved detrimental to her health. The cancer had already escaped her uterus. It had spread to the lymph nodes in her neck, groin and even her lungs.

My Mother was absolutely HEART BROKEN by this news. If her insurance would've approved her in a timely manner, her doctors could have preserved her life. At this time we are trying to get Charlene the best possible care. She is in the best spirits and putting up the best fight we have ever seen. We are asking for help to raise money for "Care and Expenses" to prolong her life as long as we can.

The STRENGTH, COURAGE and HEROISM I have watched My Mother demonstrate recently could only be something sent from the HEAVENS. As her only son, I pray that I am able to live up to half of the "Divine Angelic Creation" that she truly is and the example that she has set for me. Help me give my mom, Charlene a gift of care and comfort. Thank You in advance for your help.
