Saving For Sadie and Family

UPDATE- Lindsay has let me know that the Neurologist just came in to discuss MRI results. She does have small bleeds/micro hemorrhages in right frontal lobe and left parietal lobe along with brain stem. They did say she had grade 3 diffuse axonal injury which is most severe of TBI although most patients with that are comatose and her assessments don’t match MRI per se. She does have a long road ahead to recovery and neuro said that inpatient rehab will be best for her. He does believe that she should be able to regain most neuro functioning but could take 3-6 months.

*** this means lots of time away from home and off of work for Lindsay.. please rally and share with whomever possible they can help out! ***

Hey friends, My name is Tiffany Jones, I am a close family friend of the Navarro family. We love Sadie and Brantley as if they are our own. Lindsay and the kids mean the world to us.

As many of you know on the late afternoon/early evening of Saturday, September 23 Sadie was involved in an horrific auto accident. Sadie was the back seat passenger in her friends car. A trip that was leading to a fun sleepover with a friend turned into a nightmare. Sadie and her friend and her mom are all in for a LONG road of recovery.

Their vehicle was struck at a high rate of speed causing severe injuries. Sadie is facing a long road of healing and recovery with a possibility of several weeks of in-house therapy and support at UOC.

As many of you know Sadie and her brother Brantley lost their father in June and Lindsay just returned to work this week from the loss of her husband. She has no FMLA left and will he spending all of her time at Sadie’s side.

Now is the time that we as a community need to come together and show Lindsay just how much we care about them. Let’s help alleviate any stress Lindsay may have knowing she needs to be with Sadie. This family has been through enough! Any little bit will help, and if you can’t a “share” is just as helpful. On behalf of Lindsay and her family we can’t thank you enough.
