Saving Halton Community Radio

Hi, I'm Angelita and I'm a volunteer with this amazing community radio station. I was a presenter for two years, absolutely loved it and now I'm part of the management team.

All funds raised will be used to support the day-to-day running of HCR. Our finances took a serious hit in 2020 when we lost some of our shows and regular supporters. Since then, with the continuing increase in our costs, we have almost come to the end of our reserves. We are applying for some grants but they will take time to arrive so we are asking for your help and support now.

Being on the radio gives our presenters more than just something to do. All our presenters are volunteers and come from varied backgrounds. They gain confidence and self-esteem which leads to feeling better about themselves. We currently have 33 presenters each supported by a second adult. Add that to our directors and we are 70 people passionate about our radio station.
