Hi my name is Vadim, 23.
I’m a foreign student coming from Belarus. An accident happened to me on the way to hike with my friends 04/27/19.
I’ve got my right hand fingers smashed with a van sliding door. I have multiple open crushing fractures in 3 fingers. Fingers lacerations. Digital nerve damaged. I have a risk of losing one finger and finger dysfunction. I’ve been given an emergency help sewing up the skin but I still have the bones broken apart. I need an urgent surgery putting pins in my fingers and a nerve repair. The doctor agreed to operate me. But I need almost $10000, which I can not afford. I have been to all of the possible hospitals and medical universities, but unfortunately they are not able to accept me without local insurance which I am not eligible for. My foreign insurance does not cover this kind of procedure. I have no opportunity to get a loan for treatment. So my last hope is kind people.
I used to have an active life, doing sports, surfing, climbing, playing guitar, working with my hands. Because of the injury I’m not going to be able to even use a pan or operate a computer.
I am right handed and my injury does not let me to manage any kind of work. So can not make any money to cover the procedure.
I don’t want to let this injury ruin my life.
Please help me keep my fingers!
