Hello Everyone! By now all of you have heard about the #HillsboroFire that rocked our city (Hillsboro, Oregon) on January 2nd, 2022. The fire closed Main Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues and destroyed several businesses. Those left standing were forced to close. A day later many were walled off behind a plywood and cement barricade, effectively closing them.

One of those businesses, LA MIXTECA OAXACA, was one of the only Latino-owned businesses to ever open on Main Street. Lucia, Jose, and their children were only open for 2 months when the fire hit. They were forced to close for most of the last two months. Now they are open again but their landlord is EVICTING them unless they get some help immediately.

As local business owners on Main Street and in Hillsboro, we know the value of this business.
Lucia, Jose, and their children have invested their entire lives in this business and it took them years and immigrant struggle to get here.
The FOOD is amazing and authentic from Oaxaca, where Lucia and Jose come from.
They are not receiving HELP and are in a state of #Emergency.
Someone has to help so we are stepping up and asking all of YOU, the good people of Hillsboro to help us catch up on their back rent before they are evicted.
We believe having them on Main Street brings a valuable and unique food offering and a Cultural experience that is so often missing!
We believe NO ONE should be burned out and left on their own to simply disappear.
This #HillsboroFire has taken much from many, but right now this is the face of the fire's wrath.
100% of all money raised goes directly to the back rent that LA MIXTECA OAXACA DOWNTOWN owes to avoid pending #EVICTION.
