A Thank You for Saving Dora the Cat

Hi, My name is Kari and I'm fundraising to cover the costs of a sweet kitty that needed emergency care following complications from a spay. My mom took in Dora (aka Lady) and her 2 week old litter of 6 over the summer as a result of a neighbor having to leave her home due to medical reasons. The house ended up having 2 other litters of cats around 6 months old and this young mom, Lady, and her newest litter. Lady came into my moms house super underweight and dehydrated, her milk was nearly all dried up. My mom weighed the kittens 2 times a day and worked hard to make sure the smallest had access to milk. By some miracle, they all survived!

My mom and neighbor cared for all 16 cats until they were all able to be rehomed. Lady was spayed on 10/10/23 after she'd weened her kittens and they'd been adopted. She had complications with the surgery and needed overnight care, labs and IV hydration. The vet cost was $1055 and my mom and her neighbor are on fixed incomes but couldn't bear to let this lovely Lady go so they came up with the funds.

Everyone that has met Lady just loves her and wants to adopt her. I'm trying to recoup the funds for my mom and her neighbor as a thank you for all they've done.
