Saving Masai girls from genital mutilation

The Masai community is known worldwide for its gender segretative culture,leaving women with no rights to education,property ownership,choice of marriage partner,age of marriage,(as early as 8 years old),number of children in a marriage and tragically,undergoing female genital mutilation.In an effort to rescue these little Masai girls,Mary Sinantei Joseph,is building a school in the Tanzanian village of MTO wa mbu that will rescue vulnerable girls. Mary is a qualified teacher ,having completed her university studies in Kenya .                                                 Marys aim for the school is to give the girls a quality education,and to also focus on creating awareness of the girls legal rights and the necessity to stamp out female genital mutilation.She has been raising funds by herself for years by means of facebook contacts and visitors to her village.                                                                     As Africa doesnt have access to go fund me i have opened a campaign on her behalf and with her consent.                                 Her facebook page is Mary Sinantei ,where you can get an idea of the inspiring work she does in the name of helping her people and i would urge you to look at it.
