Saving Muck Pond

OffLease Only Inc want to build a large used car sales center at the corner of McIntosh Road and Muck Pond Road in rural Hillsborough County, FL. We strongly oppose this used car lot being added to our rural neighborhood which will affect not only the environment and the wildlife of the area but also the traffic conditions.
The Hillsborough County Zoning Hearing Master heard presentations from Off Lease and members of Saving Muck Pond coalition on August 20th. They have not yet released their official recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). The BOCC will decide our fate in a hearing on October 9th, 2018 at 9.30 am.
In the first GoFundMe round we raised $4,193.87 after GoFundMe fees and spent most of this money hiring a consultant, Steve Allison.
Steve was a member of the Hillsborough County Planning Commission and is an expert in the Planning and Zoning Committees processes, he has helped immeasurably in our campaign to stop the Off Lease used car lot and we need him to stay with us until the end.

We have paid Steve $3,760 and we still owe him $2,000 for work he has already done and for his participation in the Oct 9 hearing.
Consequently we need to raise more funds to pay the consultant, buy stamps for another postcard mailing and buy more T-shirts for the BOCC meeting.
Committed neighbors such as Teresa Pemberton-Jouany and Natalie King pledged significant additional money but we still need around $2,000.
